Class Community Building Events
PTA works with teachers to host after-school movies, ice cream socials, dance parties, and more — relaxed afternoons where kids hang out with classmates and teachers, no fundraising agenda attached. Donations are welcome but never required.

Once a month, parent volunteers serve up a delicious buffet luncheon for our amazing Mar Vista staff. Each month is sponsored by a different grade level. It's a warm, tangible way to say thank you to the educators who pour so much into our children.

Fabulous Friday — Staff Appreciation Luncheon
Family Fun Night
An evening of music, dancing, and play for the whole family at the end of the school year — no fundraising, just fun! This is one of the most beloved events on the PTA calendar, and a fantastic volunteering opportunity for working parents who can't help during the school day.

How to help: Help with set-up and clean-up logistics. A perfect evening volunteer shift!
Hospitality
The Hospitality committee makes every PTA meeting feel welcoming by providing yummy snacks and coffee for attendees. It's a small but meaningful touch that encourages participation and creates a warm atmosphere where families feel at home.

New Family Outreach
Mar Vista students enjoy several grade-wide field trips each year. PTA funds expenses for one field trip per grade level, including school bus rental, making these memorable learning experiences accessible to every student.
How to help: Help coordinate logistics, chaperone trips, or assist with organizing transportation for your grade level.
Each year, PTA hosts a special brunch to recognize and celebrate the dedicated parent volunteers and teachers who make Mar Vista extraordinary. A heartfelt event that honors everyone who gives their time.
